Find your way through the airway.
Bend the tip. Rotate the scope. Advance with intention.
Watch positioning, then a rotation sweep, then inspect the ultrasound. Each stop starts from the trachea; this is a learning order, not a clinical sampling protocol.
Start nearby relocates the scope to a practice window. Rotate A / D to sweep; W / S changes level.
How this EBUS learning model works · references & limitations
Amber nodes represent illustrative locations, not complete IASLC station boundaries. The amber arrow shows the scan direction; proximal is on the left of the synthetic image. Selecting a station changes your learning target, not the ultrasound. Scope position, roll and bend determine which objects intersect the scan plane. Start nearby is an explicit relocation shortcut; you can also navigate manually.
Simulated coupling assumes an acoustic window when enabled; balloon inflation and wall contact are not physically modeled. The image adds spatially anchored speckle, layered near-field echoes and qualitative attenuation. These visual effects are approximations. The amber fan on the map represents the current scan plane and depth. Color flow only distinguishes schematic vascular landmarks: colors do not measure flow direction or velocity. Node appearance is not a diagnostic classifier. This is a convex EBUS orientation exercise using the existing slim-scope navigation proxy, not calibrated EBUS scope dimensions, mechanics or ultrasound physics. No needle or biopsy simulation. Not clinically validated.
Core stations: 2R/L, 4R/L, 7, 10R/L, 11Rs/Ri/L. Stations 5/6 and EUS stations 8/9 are not training targets here. Anatomical variation and additional stations are not modeled. Neutral
Lever bends the tip.
Rotation turns the bending plane.
Approach the carina slowly. Rotate the bending plane, add a small bend, and advance. Ease the lever toward neutral as the shaft follows. Select a destination and use Show route for a tested example. The lever holds its position when released.
